Shear Concepts began long before the doors officially opened.
For owner and senior stylist Sheryl Lucas, it started as a child. Saturdays were spent in the salon with her mother getting her weekly shampoo and roller sets!. The scent, energy and chaos stayed with her. By high school, when she was invited to learn as a shampoo assistant, she knew she had found her calling.
Creativity has always guided Sheryl’s work, balanced with respect for hair and for the individual wearing it. That philosophy carried her to salon ownership in 2001, when Shear Concepts opened its doors. What began as a leap of faith grew into a salon built on integrity, honesty, and genuine care for people. At Shear Concepts, the experience is intentionally relaxed. Clients are never pressured, never upsold, and always listened to. Advice is offered when welcomed, recommendations are thoughtful, and conversations remain private. The goal is simple. Clients leave feeling refreshed and wonderful.
